A 91 cm tree gives a cat two levels to choose between and a proper full-height scratch, on a footprint not much bigger than a side table.

The layout is the useful part. The top is an enclosed basket with a rim, which cats prefer for sleeping because they can feel something against their back. The middle perch is open and round, for sitting up and watching the room. Cats use those two positions for completely different things, and a tree that offers only one gets used half as much.

Raised bed on top with a rim to curl against

Open middle perch, 35.5 cm across

Sisal-wrapped post running the full height

45 x 45 cm base, so it sits in a corner or beside a chair

Lamb cashmere covering over a particle board frame

Light at 6 kg, so it moves between rooms easily

At a glance

Pawbrio product guide

At a glance

Detail

Info

Height

91 cm

Base size

45 x 45 cm

Top bed

45 x 36 cm, 8 cm rim

Middle perch

35.5 cm diameter

Suits cats up to

5 kg

Total load

30 kg

How to measure: The manufacturer rates this for cats up to 5 kg. Tighten every bolt fully, especially where the post meets the base, and re-check after a fortnight once it has settled. Stand it against a wall or in a corner rather than in open floor, as cats land on the top basket from a height and a free-standing tree rocks more.

Using it safely

The manufacturer rates it for cats up to 5 kg, so a heavier cat should not be landing on the top basket.
