dog-lick-mat-feeding-placemat-large-silicone-slow-feeder
Dog Lick Mat & Feeding Placemat | Large Silicone Slow Feeder Mat

This silicone lick mat and feeding placemat is a large rectangular textured mat that works as a slow feeder and as a mat under the bowls.

Why we picked it

This is the flat, large-surface one, and it does two jobs. Spread a whole meal of wet food across it and a dog that normally bolts its dinner in fifteen seconds has to work at it for ten or fifteen minutes, which is better for their gut and takes the edge off a dog that guards its bowl. Put it under the bowls instead and it catches the water a messy drinker throws about, which saves the floor underneath.

The area is the point. Where a small round pad holds one portion, this takes a full meal spread thin, so it is the one to buy if slow feeding rather than distraction is what you are after.

It has no suction cups, which is a real difference. On a smooth floor it will stay put well enough under bowls, but it is not the one to stick to the side of a bath — for nail trims and bath time, choose our 4-in-1 mat with the suction base instead.

And as with any silicone mat: this is for licking, not chewing. A dog that bites pieces out of it should not have it unsupervised.

Large rectangular surface — takes a full meal spread thin

Doubles as a placemat under food and water bowls

Food-grade silicone, dishwasher safe

Freezes well for a longer-lasting treat

Wipes clean in seconds

Suits dogs and cats of any size

At a glance

Pawbrio product guide

At a glance

Detail

Info

Material

Food-grade silicone

Shape

Rectangular, flat

Suction cups

No

Best for

Slow feeding and spills

Cleaning

Dishwasher safe

Suits

All sizes, dogs and cats

Which of our mats: This one for slow feeding a full meal and for catching spills under bowls.
