It folds down with one hand.

Why we picked it

A stroller is rarely bought for fun. It is usually an arthritic dog who still wants the walk but cannot manage the distance, a dog recovering from surgery, or an old dog who gets a mile from home and then cannot get back. Being able to walk out with them and push them home changes what the day looks like for both of you.

Most strollers on the market are built for a small terrier. This one takes a pet up to 30 kg and 60 cm in body length, which covers spaniels, beagles, border collies and similar. The cabin is 85 cm long, so a dog of that size can lie down rather than sit hunched for the whole walk.

Two figures worth separating: the frame is rated to 40 kg, but the manufacturer's recommended maximum pet weight is 30 kg. Work to the 30 kg.

Cabin 85 L x 50 W x 67 H cm, enough to lie down in

Pets up to 30 kg and 60 cm body length

Swivel front wheels with shock absorbers, brake on the rear

One-click fold for the car boot

Zipped mesh doors, windows and a top skylight

Two internal safety leashes

At a glance

Pawbrio product guide

At a glance

Detail

Info

Maximum pet weight

30 kg

Maximum pet length

60 cm, nose to base of tail

Cabin size

85 L x 50 W x 67 H cm

Overall size

112 L x 67 W x 100 H cm

Folded

95 H x 65 W cm

Frame load rating

40 kg

Measure first: Measure your dog nose to base of tail while standing. Clip the internal leash to a harness rather than a collar, so a dog that tries to jump out is held across the chest and not the neck.

Using it safely

Always clip the internal safety leash. Apply the rear brake whenever you stop, particularly on a slope or a kerb. Do not exceed 30 kg. This is a pushchair, not a car restraint, and it is not crash tested, so do not use it as one. Introduce a nervous dog to it stationary at home with the doors open before taking it out.

Care guide

Brush loose hair out of the cabin and wipe the Oxford fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air dry fully before folding it away, as damp fabric folded up will smell.
