At 118 cm wide with 114 cm of internal length, this one is genuinely sized for a large dog, and the 5.8 cm bar spacing is wide enough to see through properly rather than feeling like a cell.

The cushion is the part worth knowing about. It is tested to BS5852, the British Standard for furniture flammability. Build it where it is going to stand, because at 118 cm wide it is not something you shuffle across a room afterwards. Check the door latch engages cleanly before your dog uses it, and keep the top clear until the unit is fully built and square.

Using it safely

Do not put more than 20 kg on the top. Bar spacing is 5.8 cm, so this is not suitable for a puppy small enough to get their head through a gap. The frame is particleboard with a steel front, which suits a dog who settles in a crate rather than one who works at escaping. Introduce it gradually with the door open rather than shutting your dog in on the first day.

Care guide

The cushion cover is washable, so take it off and launder it rather than scrubbing the crate. Wipe the walnut panels with a barely damp cloth and dry straight away, as particleboard swells where water sits. Vacuum inside and wipe the bars with a damp cloth.

Delivery & returns

Free tracked UK delivery on every Pawbrio order.
