This adjustable raised dog bowl stand has seven height settings from 12cm to 45cm, a 49 x 28cm top that takes your existing bowls, and storage shelves underneath.

Why we picked it

Most raised feeders come at one fixed height, which means buying a new one when your puppy grows or guessing wrong and living with it. This one adjusts across seven settings — 12, 17, 22, 27, 32, 40 and 45cm — so it fits a Dachshund and a Great Dane, and follows a puppy all the way up. If you have two dogs of different sizes, or a growing one, this is the sensible buy.

The top is deliberately an open 49 x 28cm surface rather than cut-out holes, so it takes whatever bowls you already own: stainless, ceramic, a slow feeder, even a compact automatic feeder. Non-slip silicone pads stop them sliding while your dog eats. That is a real advantage over the hole-cut stands — you are not locked into one bowl diameter forever.

Build is melamine MDF on a reinforced metal frame. The melamine surface is smooth, scratch-resistant and shrugs off splashes, and the metal frame is what stops the wobble that plagues all-wood stands. There are pre-drilled holes if you want to wall-mount it to save floor space.

One thing to be clear about: bowls are not included. This is a stand. If you need bowls too, budget for them separately.

  • Seven height settings: 12, 17, 22, 27, 32, 40 and 45cm
  • Open 49 x 28cm top — fits any bowls you already have
  • Non-slip silicone pads keep bowls still
  • Storage shelves for food, treats, toys and leads
  • Melamine MDF on a reinforced metal frame — no wobble
  • Pre-drilled for wall mounting if you want it off the floor

Detail Info

Top surface 49 x 28cm, open
Bowls Not included — use your own
Storage Open shelves
Material Melamine MDF, metal frame
Wall mountable Yes — pre-drilled
How to measure: Stand your dog square and measure from the floor to the top of the shoulder blade. The bowl rim should sit at roughly chest height, which is usually a little below the shoulder — so a 60cm dog wants the 40 or 45cm setting, a 35cm Spaniel the 22cm. Start lower if you are unsure; a bowl slightly too low is far better than slightly too high.

What's in the box

  • 1 x raised feeding station with storage shelves
  • 1 x fixings pack and instructions

Setting up

Assemble on the floor following the pre-drilled holes — minimal tools needed. Set the height before you load the shelves, because changing it later means taking the weight off. Put your bowls on the silicone pads and check nothing rocks. If you are wall-mounting it, find the studs or use proper plasterboard fixings rated well above the loaded weight; the pre-drilled holes do not come with wall fixings, because the right ones depend on your wall.

Using it safely

Make sure all four feet sit flat before your dog uses it — an unloaded stand that rocks will rock harder with a 2 litre bowl of water on it. Keep the shelves balanced, heaviest items lowest. Raised feeding helps posture for tall and older dogs, but it is not a treatment: if your dog has started gagging, dropping food or refusing meals, that is a vet conversation, not a furniture one. Supervise a puppy with a new feeding height until they are confident with it.

Care guide

Wipe the melamine surfaces with a damp cloth and dry them — the top is water-resistant, not waterproof, and standing water will eventually get into the board edges. Lift the bowls out to wash them properly rather than rinsing them in place. Check the height-adjustment fixings every couple of months, especially after moving the stand, and clean the silicone pads so they keep their grip.

FAQs

Does it come with bowls?

No. The open top is designed so you can use the bowls you already own — stainless, ceramic, a slow feeder or a compact automatic feeder.

Can I change the height later?

Yes, that is the point of it. Seven settings from 12cm to 45cm, so it follows a puppy as they grow rather than being replaced.

Will a slow feeder bowl fit?

Yes — the top is a flat 49 x 28cm surface, not cut-out holes, so bowl shape and depth do not matter.

Do I have to mount it on the wall?

No. It freestands perfectly well. The pre-drilled holes are there if you want to save floor space, and you will need to supply fixings suited to your wall.
