Choosing a dog bowl

Stainless steel is hygienic, dishwasher-safe and hard to chew. Ceramic bowls are heavier and stay put for enthusiastic eaters. If your dog bolts food, a slow-feeder bowl with ridges can stretch a meal from seconds to minutes and reduce bloating.

Raised or elevated bowls help tall dogs, older dogs with stiff necks and long-eared breeds keep their ears out of the water. Match bowl size to meal size: a small breed needs around 300ml, a large breed 1.5–2 litres. Add a silicone mat to catch splashes.

Dog Bowls & Feeders FAQs

Are raised bowls good for dogs?

They help large, tall and senior dogs eat comfortably. Some vets advise against them for deep-chested breeds prone to bloat, so check with your vet if unsure.

What is a slow feeder bowl?

A bowl with raised ridges or a maze pattern that makes the dog work around obstacles, slowing fast eaters and aiding digestion.

Are your bowls dishwasher safe?

Stainless steel and most ceramic bowls are. Details are on each product page.
